I performed multiple steps of 1) make sure all versions of C++ for 2012 were removed from the installed app list, 2) verify the registry had no reference to C++ 2012, 3) reboot, 4) download a fresh copy of the installer stub using a different browser, 5) setting the stub to save the install files to a fresh folder, and 6) running the install. How far do you get and are you now able to install. I usually download only so I can check the files before installation, then I install, your choiceĭownloading the files from Corel will give you the latest versions which should not need any updates, at least that’s what I see installing the ultimate, I realise you have the Pro version, Installation should be the same. The third is the contents location, that will be greyed out as you have installed 2019. Install Program to : I would recommend the default location. When You run the installation file VideoStudio_Install.exe, at 7,091Kbġ / The first page allows you to enter your serial number, clearly that has been acceptedĢ / the next two pages are the licence agreement followed by User Experience…….Ĥ / Next takes us to a screen with two choices Complete or Customĥ / Next should show the installation files listed with a tick to select all, As my attached Image….

Sorry for the delay in my reply, just away from the pc for a day. So even tho you have removed 2019, it's shared folder is still defined in the registry and that's where any new shared content from a new install, even of the same version, is saved. Windows explorer will also display that folder - the removal tool doesn't seem to delete it. That folder once defined is not changeable unless you get into the registry (method from Trevor), and caries over from every installation.
With 2019, the program has some shared content (meaning it can share it with later versions) which is installed in a seperate location folder. A custom install allows you to do that if you don't want the default. If you want to download and install in one operation - the installer can do that - then make sure you have chosen the install location also.
All you have to do is choose a location for the download files - different from the last time so the installer does not think you already have it - and run. You don't select a download location - it's wired into the installer stub. At that point I deleted the entire folder from Program Files and gave up. When I clicked on the Videostudio executable I got a DLL error for "pexexif_res.dll". I saw that the program files appeared to have installed. Looking at my Windows logs I don't see any error messages. Where do I find them? The stub keeps telling me that it's verifying the download files, I get the bar showing the install is progressing, then it gives me the error message. I don't remember seeing an option for selecting a download location for the install files. I'm at work now so I can't test anything until I get home. I've also run the Videostudio 2019 clean-up program just to make sure the old install isn't an issue. As a precaution I've removed Videostudio 2019 (I'm going to reinstall it on my work computer). I only listed them in case they have issues that may be causing my problem.

I just manually registered the product online and the serial number was accepted so at least we know that isn't an issue. This will give you the latest installation files, use these files to install the program.
